Honorable Prime Minister,

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Fiji, I wish to extend, on behalf of the Government of the People's Republic of China, as well as in my own name, warm congratulations to you and through you to the Government of the Republic of Fiji.

Over the past 40 years of China-Fiji diplomatic relations, mutual political trust between our two sides has been deepened increasingly. Our practical cooperation has achieved fruitful results. Both sides have maintained good communication and coordination on international and regional affairs. The development of China-Fiji relations has brought real benefits to our two peoples.

The Chinese side stands ready to work with the Fijian side, to further strengthen exchange and cooperation in various fields, so as to push for a greater development of the strategic partnership between our two countries.
