A Foreign Affairs Delegation of Chinese Defence Ministry Visiting South Pacific

A 6-member delegation of the Foreign Affairs Office of  Chinese Defence Ministry is visiting a few South Pacific island countries. The delegation is headed by Mr GUAN Youfei, Deputy Chief of the Foreign Affairs Office of China's Ministry of Defence. Their trip includes Vanuatu, Fiji and Tonga, where they are meeting their counterparts from respective countries.

During its stopover in Suva on 23 September, the delegation met with Fiji's Defence Minister and exchanged views on the training for national defence personnel and respective experience in the United Nation's Peace-Keeping Operations (PKO). The delegation also toured the barracks of RFMF.
