China Booth Welcomed by Fijians


As part of the UN75 Community Day activity, the Chinese Embassy in Fiji hosted an exhibition at the China booth last week in Prince Charles Park, Nadi. The Embassy conducted a comprehensive display of China's modernization achievements and Chinese traditional culture, as well as China's cooperation with the United Nations in peacekeeping, climate change, 2030 sustainable development agenda. Caring for Fijians struggling amidst the socio-economic impacts of the COVID19 pandemic, the embassy distributed free kitchen utensils and Chinese souvenirs to women, children, and persons living with disabilities from the Western division.

During the event, Hon. Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and his spouse visited the China booth. Quite a few locals came to learn about China and Chinese culture, sharing their interest in China and their wish to travel to or study in China after the pandemic.
